Overview
Phosphate ester amine salts are ashless multi-functional additives providing extreme pressure (EP), anti-wear, anti-friction, corrosion-inhibiting, and anti-rust performance. The phosphorus content delivers EP and anti-wear activity, while the nitrogen from the amine salt contributes corrosion inhibition. These additives are preferred in environmentally sensitive or ash-limited formulations such as hydraulic fluids, turbine oils, and industrial gear oils where metallic ash from sulphur-phosphorus additive residues must be minimized.
